The Bird 4421B540-2 Interface Module serves as a sophisticated link between computers and the company's precision RF power sensors from the 4020, 4027, and 4028 series. It boasts a versatile power range that varies based on the connected sensor, spanning from 100 mW to 25 kW full scale, and a frequency range that extends from 100 KHz up to 3 GHz, again sensor-dependent.This module captures Forward Average Power, Reflected Average Power, and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) measurements at a swift rate of two readings per second directly from the sensor. It connects to sensors via the proprietary Latch-n-Lock mechanism, and communicates with computers through USB 2.0 Type B and Serial RS-232 interfaces.

Powered by a 12 VDC input adapted from either 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz, the 4421B540-2 is fully compatible with a range of Bird field sensors. The package comes with standard accessories including a Latch-n-Lock cable, a power supply, and a USB cable to facilitate immediate setup and operation.

This interface module can operate in a broad temperature range, functioning optimally between -10 to +50 °C (+14 to +122 °F), and can be safely stored across a wider temperature span from -40 to +80 °C (+40 to +176 °F).
